When I was younger, my father was taken to prison for 8 years.
Considering the time how long he was in prison, I didn’t really pay attention. Until now.
My father was convicted of possession of child pornography. While that is really and terrible wrong, and may even deserve 8 years, I found recently cases of people who have actually filmed and forced children to do these acts, and yet have 3 years in prison.
It’s not as if my father didn’t admit to just watching it, let alone filming it, and performing actions.
It was wrong to tear my family apart for 8 years, making my relationship with my father a difficult one.
I… just can’t put into words how stupid it is our system is where an actual sex offender gets less time than my father who in the truth of the word, did basically nothing wrong. Some offenders don’t even get time.
It is… I don’t even know.
