Dear best friend, as much as I love you…

Dear best friend,
As much as I love you and want you to be a part of my life forever there are times when I feel insecure and not cared for.
You need to realise that your role in my life is not only to find places to eat and arrange Saturday night stints with people I don’t even know. There is more that you have signed up for.
I want you to be by my side when I loose someone I care about, even if that means missing a club night on the last day of your exam.
There are times I want to have you all for myself so if you could consider spending a day with me without any “friends” you don’t even know exist on other days and even that phone of yours. I know you are popular and every one wants to be your friend but they don’t know that this world has darksides too.
I want you to keep a check on me when it’s obvious I am zoned out rather than choosing some over me to hangout with. I know your boyfriend is important but as much as you amend your schedule for him I expect you to do it for me when needed.
This might sound like selfish list but I really am writing all this knowing that I will be more than obliged to do everything for you.
I need you to respect this relationship a little more than others because not everyone can be called best friend
