No one will ever know the pain and struggle I deal with daily

I was sent to court at aged ten.

It was for stealing for me and my younger sister and brother. Our own mother was too busy injecting drugs into her body and slowly killing herself to feed us.

I was charged while I sobbed in the court room. They didn’t understand we hadn’t eaten in days and I had no other choice, I didn’t enjoy it.

It wasn’t the first time I had to do it and it wasn’t the last.

She died shortly after that but it was not until then people found out about the string of abuse we had been through. I brought up a little boy and a little girl all while being under the age of Ten. I have been mentally scarred for life from this time but it took Ten years for anyone to notice. No one will ever know the pain and struggle I deal with daily.
