I went for a walk on Christmas day, but I started having trouble breathing.

I went for a walk on Christmas day. It was unusual in that there were many families about in the evening – something you don’t usually see after dark in a suburb dominated by cars. I saw kids playing basketball, cycling, walking the dog. But the weather turned out to be vicious. I suddenly began coughing and began having breathing difficulties. I turned out the pollen count was very high and it was affecting my lungs. I was breathless. I turned around and headed home for shelter. And I was better immediately. This year has been very high in pollen and is a reflection of the very high climatic variations in rain, wind. But I prefer this to the pollution seen in many other parts of the world where you cannot see beyond the other street. I am grateful. Thank you God.
