I would like to comment on the mess that has been created at my beloved Target! I have been a “Team member” for over a year and this is normally a fun and inclusive environment. I have never felt more welcome and happy in any job I’ve had before. We love our customers ie “guests” and it’s always fun to go to work. How many people can say that about their jobs? It was great until all the mess about our public restrooms and transgenders!

We have had so much backlash over this! It wasn’t our decision whether we agree with it or not. It doesn’t matter! However, it changed everything. There are all these people treating us badly and tearing up the store. Before when I told people where I worked they thought it was super cool and said “Tarjay”I love Tarjay. Now it’s like a dirty word! And you can, forget about getting any hours! I wonder if the CEO knew what he was doing. He doesn’t have to be in the trenches with all the negative energy! I loved Target! I loved the team members! It breaks my heart to see what has become of such a beautiful place to work over all of this. He should have waited until it became the law first. You can’t change the minds of these conservative people in the south. That’s just the way they are. I don’t think because a person identifies as a different sex makes them an automatic sex offender! It’s usually the people you least suspect, like daddy or uncle or brother or the local minister! It’s too easy to attack someone because they are different than you! But if we were all the same life would be pretty predictable wouldn’t it?

I really don’t care for all the politics. All I know is Target cares about their customers! That is why we go the extra mile for you asking if you need anything and helping out! We don’t have to we want to! We are a team in every sense of the word! We will get through this mess we didn’t create because the people that work at Target are Amaaaazing!!!
