There isn’t really a separation between society and technology

Yesterday.

She talks with me. She’s incredibly beautiful. I’m very grateful to talk to the past. Everybody is extremely beautiful.

“So, what’s it like in tomorrow?”

“Well. The way we think about it is different from the way we speak about it. It’s a really difficult thing to do because language is like a glass, a bowl, or a spoon. It is the first thing we have to learn in school. How can we say something but envision something else completely? We have to grab the glass of water but every single time, we have to relive it.”

“I don’t get it. So, you are saying that grabbing a glass of water can’t become an automatic thing?”

“You’re really smart you know. And no, it can and it will. Living in tomorrow will always consist of envisioning something, so even that becomes automatic. And I guess that’s the key. We learn to be alert about what parts of our language become automatic, and we learn to be picky about them. We first learn to make other thinking automatic. We value mindfulness and learning to change the effect of language by taking complete control.”

“I think get it. And what about artificial intelligence? What about their intelligence surpassing our own?”

“That’s a little difficult to answer. There isn’t really a separation between society and technology. Our engineers have active political roles. Some of them spend many years as a senator working closely with advocacy groups, but usually, especially the women, spend only about 2 years before they become Legislative consultants. They work closely with multi-disciplinary groups of politicians to consult every part of our existing government. They are the ones that bring about the most change in our government. Many people do new things but they are responsible for the entire life cycle of the new things. And involving the public. The whole thing is what you guys here call ‘open-source’, I believe. You have to be a licensed professional engineer for that if you want to be employed as an engineer at all. Otherwise you join the team as another professional. The only non-licensed people are the children’s group. However, their teachers go through extensive training to play with them the world’s game.”

“Hey! Is that the same game where the children play as leaders of many parts of the world and there are a lot of problems that are interconnected to each other and stuff?”

“Yes, I think it has evolved since yes, your times. Tomorrow is generous.”

“Hmm. I see.”
