16 Years and got Herpes on my first time

Hello, I am new to this site. I am 16 and at arriving at this pinnacle of angst and ignorance, I’d met a boy. I’ve never been in a relationship, but this one was not my ideal. We had sex (my first time) unprotected, thinking I was invincable. A week and few days later, I begged my mom to take me to the hospital for the unbelievable pain I’d endorded. I’d contracted Herpes and thought it had ruined my life. Now, only five months later, I’m starting to find the confidence I’d lost through sexual relations with this stranger my mom had introduced me to. And might I say, I’m damn glad that future relationships are the farthest thing from my main concern, and school is once again, and rightfully so, my highest priority. We aren’t superheroes. We aren’t invincible. Be smart before you make a decision that could diminish your confidence and future aspirations with the single reading of a test result.
